The USA’s Covenant with God

Do you want God’s protection, truth, better jobs and peace to fill our nation? We can have all God’s blessings if we hold fast that the USA belongs to God. This generation must re-affirm that the USA serves the Lord and not any other gods. We find this key in Scripture that heals our nation by looking at Kings Asa and Josiah. God healed their land from great turmoil when the people prayed to the LORD in covenant (2 Chronicles 15, 2 Chronicles 34, 2 Kings 22-23).

What makes the USA different than every other nation? The answer is the USA is a covenant Christian nation from the beginning. Our covenant to follow the Lord is why God blessed the USA above every nation. Other nations became Christian nations, but the USA made covenant with God through Jesus Christ from the beginning, starting in 1607 with the Jamestown Settlers covenanting America to the LORD “to all generations”. The Pilgrims, Puritans, John Hancock, George Washington, John Adams, John Jay and our founders continued in covenant that our nation is dedicated to the LORD.

Some of the USA’s covenant acts are: dedicating America to God with crosses, George Washington and our Founding Fathers praying in Jesus’ name and reading the Holy Bible as the first act of Congress, the Holy Bible and Christian prayer in school, the Declaration of Independence, our national motto of “In God We Trust”. There are thousands more.

Covenant Acts and Quotes

“We do hereby dedicate this Land, and ourselves, to reach the People within these shores with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to raise up Godly generations after us, and with these generations take the Kingdom of God to all the earth. May this Covenant of Dedication remain to all generations, as long as this earth remains… May all who see this Cross, remember what we have done here, and may those who come here to inhabit join us in this Covenant…”  Jamestown Settlers Covenant Dedication, 1607

“Having undertaken, for the Glory of God, and advancements of the Christian faith…” Mayflower Compact, 1620

We are entered into covenant with Him for this work, we have taken out a commission, the Lord hath given us leave to draw our own articles we have professed to enterprise these actions upon these and these ends, we have hereupon besought Him of favor and blessing. Now if the Lord shall please to hear us, and bring us in peace to the place we desire, then hath He ratified this covenant and sealed our commission, [and] will expect a strict performance of the articles contained in it, but if we shall neglect the observations of these articles which are the ends we have propounded, and dissembling with our God, shall fall to embrace this present world and prosecute our carnal intentions seeking great things for ourselves and our posterity, the Lord will surely break out in wrath against us, be revenged of such a perjured people, and make us know the price of the breach of such a covenant.” Puritans, John Winthrop

The first act of Congress is for George Washington, John Adams, John Jat and our Founding Fathers to read the Holy Bible and pray in Jesus’ name as they sought the LORD for the USA.

“Whereas, the Senate of the United States, devoutly recognizing the Supreme Authority and just Government of Almighty God, in all the affairs of men and of nations, has, by a resolution, requested the President to designate and set apart a day for National prayer and humiliation. And whereas it is the duty of nations as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord. And, insomuch as we know that, by His divine law, nations like individuals are subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world, may we not justly fear that the awful calamity of civil war, which now desolates the land, may be but a punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins, to the needful end of our national reformation as a whole People?” Abraham Lincoln

“This is a Christian nation.” USA Supreme Court

“Christianity is part of the common law” USA Supreme Court, endorsing a PA Supreme Court Case
